NoDesk: Issue #227
A weekly newsletter with the best new remote jobs, stories and ideas from the remote work community, and occasional offbeat pieces to feed your curiosity.
By Daniel (@nodeskco).
Hi friends,
Hope you’re all well and having a great summer.
Some of you will have received an email from Substack in the past few days about your paid subscription to the NoDesk newsletter being cancelled, and you will have been issued a prorated refund.
Unfortunately, this was a requirement to change the Stripe account I use with Substack.
NoDesk is independent, bootstrapped, and run by me since 2015. And all of the content on NoDesk and the newsletter is made available for free.
Finding a remote job is hard, and I don’t want to make the process more difficult by adding a paywall and turning someone away who’s not in a position to pay.
However, doing things the right way means putting in the hours, so if you want to support my work and have the opportunity to do so, I’d love to have you join as a paid member.
Thank you for your support and for being part of the NoDesk journey.
-Daniel

Anyone else have troubling taking a vacation since you’re a Digital Nomad?
banditgirlmm | Reddit
I’m a digital nomad who works at a company and I get the itch to take a traditional vacation at least once a year. But I can’t think of spending 3-6k on a one week vacation like most do. Especially knowing that I could spend that 3-6k across a month or two as a DN.
Anyone else take time off but maybe not do the whole hotel and touristy thing? I’ve found myself taking a week off here and there just to enjoy the location where I’m digital nomading. But not necessarily splurging on the extra vacation stuff.
